Does this sound insane? Yes! Was it insanely tasty? Also yes! Even my fruit-in-the-main-course-hating husband liked it, and I quote: "This is not bad at all". I want that bean puree every day for the rest of the week please. Maybe the rest of the year. And those pickled nectarines! *rolls eyes with unintelligible noise*
On a side note: 20-25 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius was just a liiiiiitle bit too much for my puff pastry. I foolishly wasn't keeping an eye on the oven, and let's just say after 20 mins it was crispy. Like, once the toppings were on, it behaved like tectonic plates during the apocalypse crispy.
So: making that again. 15 minutes next time.

Ohhh, Sabrina, we're smiling from ear-to-ear as we read this review ☺️ we’re so glad the wild-sounding combination won you both over, especially the fruit-in-the-main-course-hating husband 🙌

also, thank you for flagging the puff pastry timing! We’ll keep an eye on that and appreciate you sharing what worked better for you. In case it helps, we use top-bottom heating (no fan) for our recipes. If your oven uses a fan or convection setting, you could try reducing the baking time, lowering the temperature slightly, or switching to the top and bottom heating option for our recipes 🤗 happy cooking!
