Sambal Goreng Tempeh
Packed with a punch of chili heat, a touch of sweetness, and a hint of tanginess, Indonesian sambal goreng tempeh is perfect for those who crave bold flavours. The tempeh is first fried, then coated in a flavourful spice blend. It's then cooked down with ketjap manis, which gives it that distinctive sweet and sticky texture.Servings

Loved this, even without being able to find salam leaves. This one’s going into the regular rotation!
Some of the ingredients aren’t really easy for me to purchase, are are really alternatives I can use?
This is sooooo good. I added in curry leaves instead of salam and added in lentil tofu as well as tempeh. Mouth wateringly good.
This is delicious and worth the trip to the Asian supermarket. I did add ginger as well to the boemboe as it felt like an essential ingredient to me :-)
Wow, this looks so yummy! How do you eat this, though? Is it with rice, just on its own or some other way?
