Hi there! I usually leave fantastic reviews on PUL recipes, but this one I’m afraid was not a hit for me. The waffles came out dry and bland. I did swap half of the all purpose flour for wholewheat flour, but that alone should not have changed much overall. With a creamy topping, they work, but on their own they are not tasty.

Hey Roxana! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We’re really sorry the waffles didn’t turn out as you hoped. In our experience, even swapping in half whole-wheat flour can make a bigger difference than it seems, as whole-wheat absorbs more liquid and can make the batter denser, which often leads to drier, less flavourful waffles. For this recipe, we’ve found it works best when made with only all-purpose flour. In case it helps, just as a note for future recipes: whenever we’re confident a swap will work well, we include it right beside the ingredient. You’ll see a small arrow you can click to reveal the suggested alternative. If there’s no arrow, it usually means we can’t guarantee the swap will behave the same. If you ever give it another try, we hope the original version gives you a lighter, more tender texture 🫶

Thank you so much for your explanations!

This is so delicious!
I had it for sunday brunch and it was wonderful!
Be sure add the toppings, they make it even more delicious :)
Also I feel instead of the feta something "eggy" would be nice as well, so maybe next time I will have it with scrambled Tofu.
Either way this is a great breakfast and I am going to make it again for sure! 😋

I feel, in the best way, that this recipe may hit the spot for certain pregnant women.
