Oven-Baked Tofu Parmesan
This is a delicious plant-based twist on a classic chicken parmesan. Tender tofu slices are coated in crispy breadcrumbs, smothered in marinara, and topped with a "cheesy" sauce for a satisfyingly rich dish. It's a wholesome and flavourful dinner option and one that is especially good for special occasions!Servings

made this yesterday, very delicious. will make again. this may sound weird, but I really appreciated the exact measurements for the breading steps. it was the perfect amount. no leftovers, I never know what to do with.
Oh YUM! Delicious way to get in my protein
I love this recipe and made it several times already, even though it is a bit more labour intensive, but it is still so worth it 😊 My husband loves it too and could eat the whole tray right out of the oven, if I wouldn't stop him! We often pair it with the Smashed Potato Salad in summer, but tonight we will make Hasselback Potatoes and Caramelized Endives on the side and I am sure it will be perfect, can't wait 🥰
Great! Do you think it's possible to freeze the breaded tofu ? (With no sauces)
Loved it! Would not change a thing!! And leftovers reheat well.
So delicious! My husband and I just loved the chick’n parm alternative. I’d certainly remake!
C'était délicieux, à refaire ! J'ai même envie d'essayer en faisant frire le tofu pané avant de terminer par le four avec la sauce et la béchamel
This was soooooo good! Paired with some steamed asparagus and roast potatoes was a winner. Thanks team!
The result exceeded my expectations! I served it with some sauted spinach on the top.
Dear Sadia and PuL team,
I have been following you for years. I have tried so many of your amazing recipes , from pasta bakes to tomato pesto tart and from all your curries to reindeer cupcakes with my 2 year old son, last Christmas.
This one is one of the best ! And this app is the best cook tool + cook book I have ever seen or used! I am literally obsessed with it! The high protein recipes section was what was needed.
Keep up the great work !
Lots of love ❤️❤️
This was a great way of making vegan parmesan. The highlight of this dish is the cheese sauce! I will definitely use this sauce in other dishes going forward.
Tasted delicious but I struggled cooking the bechamel. I didn't know what heat level to have it on, or how long it might take to thicken. Maybe the vegan butter I used was a problem but it took me a really long time to get it to thicken
We made this with the blueberry, walnut, spinach salad and it was a perfect Sunday dinner!
I thought these were ok, but my non-vegan husband thought they are amazing lol. So I’d say it’s worth a try!
My favourite thing about this dish was the marinara, I definitely did not regret making that from scratch, adding fresh herbs made it even better.
Great recipe, very creative! As recipe says, best eaten immediately. The leftovers got soggy from the marinara next day.
Made this tonight and it was an absolute hit!! The crumbing of the tofu was super easy and worked so well - very delicious! Paired it with some kale chips and roasted pumpkin 👌 Absolutely loving these higher protein recipes - keep up the good work Sadia and the team!!
Looks so delicious 😍😍😋😋thank you so much ❤️❤️
