Pumpkin Spice Donuts

Do you think this recipe would work with whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose? Thank you

Heyy Lisa! Thanks so much for your question 🧡 We haven’t tested these donuts with whole wheat flour yet, so it’s hard to say for sure how they’d turn out. Baking can be a bit of a science! Whole wheat tends to make baked goods a little denser and less fluffy, so if you’re hoping to experiment, we’d suggest starting with a half-and-half mix of whole wheat and all-purpose to see how you like the texture.

In case it helps, whenever we’re confident that a swap works well, we include it right beside the ingredient. If you see a little arrow, you can click it to reveal an alternative. If there’s no arrow, it usually means we aren’t fully sure the swap will work the same in the recipe. Hope this helps for now!☺️

I made these with the spiced sugar and they were so cute and delicious! Huge hit! Can't wait to try them with the maple glaze.

Ce ne sont pas des donuts fries mais des donuts cuits au four dans des moules donuts. Cela n'empêche pas de les faire en mode muffins. Ils sont délicieux aussi ainsi. Inutile de faire le sucre épicé pour parfumer, il n'accroche pas au gâteau. Cependant le glaçage est super, mais les petites noix ne tiennent pas dessus. Ce n'est pas grave car pas indispensable. Excellent dessert d'automne et d'hiver pour mettre un peu de soleil dans la cuisine

Very yummy and so easy to make! Will definitely make them again. 😋

These donuts tasted amazing! The flavours and consistency was spot on. The only thing I found was that the glaze got absorbed a bit by the donuts when left overnight in the fridge so they didn't look as perfect. Perhaps they needed a second coat? They still tasted fantastic! Will definitely return to this recipe again.

Hi Charlotte, we recommend glazing the donuts just before serving, as the frosting does absorb into the donuts 🤗

Hi, they look so perfect. Can i make them in a regular muffin tin? Or maybe the hole in the center is important for even temperature distribution and baking of the cake?

Hey Agnieszka, you can use a regular muffin tin for a similar result, but without the hole in the middle, though the baking time may change. You'll know it's done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let us know if you test it out 🤗

Really good! I would put a little less sugar into the dough next time thought.

Delicious vegan donut recipe for fall season!!! Although, next time I'll have them in the oven a bit longer and won't use as much dough. I find the donut a little too heavy and dense for my taste. I hope to get them a little more fluffy this way! But also, my baking tray holds 6 larger donuts, so maybe it's that...

Hey Britta, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with this recipe. We do prefer 12 general-sized donuts rather than 6 more dense ones in case you used the general recipe in your tray. Using less dough in each ring is a lovely idea to adjust it next time. Happy baking 🤗

They were a big hit

Turned out so good! I made them with the cinnamon sugar coating and it was perfect

Love them! They are very soft and tasty.
