Hey Yali, you can use coconut sugar if you'd like but it'll give the syrup a darker colour and a slightly caramel-like flavour 🙂

Hi Yara! Filo dough is different from puff pastry - it's much thinner and used for layering. You can usually find it in the freezer section of most grocery stores, near the pastry items. We get ours from our local grocery store called Albert Heijn 😊

Hey Magalie, we haven't tried but you could! We are not sure about the ratio, but found that maple syrup is sweeter than our homemade syrup so maybe just start with less and add more to taste. Just make sure, that the baked baklava is well coated in syrup 😊

Just delicious 💖 By accident I used salted pistachios, but that was no problem at all…the syrup did a great job so we couldn’t taste any salt. Could also impress the neighbours with this lovely sweets!
