This shawarma recipe was inspired by a popular dish originating from the Middle East. It's usually made from rotisserie meat, but we used a vegan version of shawarma from our local supermarket. We added a bunch of veggies to make this dish super nutritious. Serve it with your favourite sauces like hummus or tzatziki, and enjoy!

Really tasty weeknight dinner. As others here as well I went to tofu + spice mix route for the „shawarma“ and it turned out great! The veggie-combo was something different for me, much appreciated inspiration for future meals!

This was super satisfying! I forgot to get pita bread, so I just ate everything together over a small amount of rice and it was filling and delicious :)

I made this for dinner tonight and really enjoyed it! Very satisfying and wholesome. A dish perfect for anytime of year, I’d say. I couldn’t get any shawarma mock meat so I decided to use extra firm tofu, sliced quite thin in strips and coated in some olive oil flour and shawarma spice mix. I then fried it up separately in a wok until golden and slightly crispy. It worked brilliantly as a substitute. Will definitely be making this again! 😊
