Bulgur Mujadara

Mujadara is a beloved Middle Eastern dish, that is traditionally made with rice. It is savoured in various countries, including Lebanon. We used bulgur grain instead of rice, which is also often used as a substitute. This delightful creation harmoniously blends earthy bulgur wheat with lentils and caramelized onions. While the lentils are traditionally cooked from scratch, we've expedited the process by utilizing pre-cooked lentils. To infuse a touch of freshness, we serve it alongside a delightful mint and yogurt sauce.

As a Syrian, thank you for including this 🥰 the only issue I have with it is the vegetable oil😅 it needs to be with extra virgin olive oil because it’s a main component of the taste

Aww this means so much, Sarah, thank you 🥰 And great catch! We did indeed use olive oil, though that said, we used refined olive oil as a it has a higher smoke point that extra-virgin. That said, you can totally use extra virgin olive oil if you prefer, it’ll add a lovely flavour of its own! Just keep the heat a bit lower and perhaps cook the onions for a touch less time since it has a lower smoke point 🤗

So simple, so nice! I Made only the mujadara with rice and feared it could turn out dry, but it was lovely actually.
