Poached Pear & Cardamom Custard Tart
This recipe brings together an unexpected combination: cardamom and pear. In this tart, a delicate base of silky smooth cardamom custard serves as a canvas for the pears to shine. Rosy, tender and delicious, these beautiful pears have been stewed in blood orange juice to give them their beautiful coral colour. It's a showstopper and sure to impress!Servings

Made for thanksgiving, everyone loved it! I couldn’t find blood orange juice so i used regular juice m. I also ran out of cornstarch so i used tapioca starch, but the results were still excellent regardless.
Made some modifications (store bought crust, plain orange juice) and for some reason my custard came out on the runny side, but this was delicious nonetheless
Was way yummy and the cardamom and pear combo hit the spot!
Yummy! I didn’t have almond flour, so I used ground almonds and spelt flour and that also worked, love the cardamom flavour and that it’s not too sweet. Such a wonderful treat ♥️
Tasted absolutely lovely sadly the custard didn’t set at all!!
Making this tomorrow! Looks so yummy!
