Matcha Cupcakes
Matcha originates from Japan and is made from green tea leaves. In Japan, there are plenty of desserts to be found that use this beautiful green powder and we get why! These cupcakes have a light matcha flavour and paired with the velvety vanilla frosting, they become a delectable treat that no one can resist!cupcakes

The recipe was approved by a bunch of twelve year old girls and me.
I've made them for my daughter's birthday celebration at her school and they were a total hit (or "slay" as I was told).
I've made just the muffins, without the frosting, because I like things simple and frosting free. 😊
I had to swap
- used regular dairy milk
- pumpkin puree instead of applesauce
These turned out great!
I enjoyed it without the frosting.
Delicious
i made these for my girlfriend’s birthday and they were such a hit!! the cupcakes themselves were not too sweet and super moist, and the strawberry on top really cut through the sweetness of the buttercream. i will for sure be making these again😋😌
Ooh these were lovely! Moist. Not too strong in their matcha flavor but I prefer it that way. And that buttercream frosting was really the cherry (or strawberry :P) on top!
I’ve tried these yesterday and they turned out nice and fluffy but I have to say they lack of flavour on its own so the whipped cream with fruit is necessary for it to taste nice. Otherwise a good recipe.
