Di San Xian (地三鲜), often relished in Northeastern Chinese cuisine, is aptly named "three treasures from the earth". This dish is characterized by a sumptuous mix of three main ingredients: potatoes, eggplants, and bell peppers. Expertly stir-fried and melded with a savory sauce, it becomes an exquisite side dish. For a more fulfilling experience, serve it as a comforting main course alongside steamed rice and crispy fried tofu.

Nice, but took forever - even though it was nice it wasn’t nice enough to invest that amount of time again. Will use the sauce on a quicker dish in the future.

It was so yummy! Instead of frying the potatoes in the pan, I put them in the airfryer, which worked pretty well. And I added crispy tofu pieces (from Albert Heijn for anyone who lives in the Netherlands) for more protein. The whole thing was amazing and also got the approval from my boyfriend who usually does not like eggplant :)
Thank you so much for this recipe 🫶🏻

Wow! So yummy! It took a little time to make, but not complicated. The potatoes were what took the most time, but with more practice I believe one can better the technique.
Thank you PUL Team 🥰
(My boyfriend also loved it and he is such an Eggplant sceptic)

Yay, we’re so glad you both enjoyed it, Maria, especially winning over an eggplant skeptic! 😊

Absolutely delicious! I loveeeee the sauce, only thing I really would’ve changed was actually go with more soy sauce, the flavour by the end was beautiful but a little too light. I will definitely be making this again!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the recipe, Téa! More soy sauce sounds lovely. Happy cooking 🤗

OMG every piece of it was amazingly tasty. Also first time ever I liked eggplant in a home cooked dish, this one is nice 😅 Also the potatoes, without boiling, so tasty in the stir fry. One of my new favourites. (I doubled the sauce to combine with tofu)

Easier to make than it seems but still a lot of steps. Tasted nice but compared to other recipes of PUL we would not repeat this one due to the amount of effort versus taste. Definitely worth giving it a try still though

My family really loved it! We don't drink alcohol, so I substituted the wine with white wine vinegar and it worked great! We also smuggled some other random veggies in the pan, too, and added some air fryer tofu. Delicious!

Hello, can I omit the coking wine? We don't have that available in my country. Or I could use normal white whine? And the potatoes - they're not supposed to be cooked beforehand, right? Just making sure, I wanna try more meals out of my culture :) thank you!

Hey Hifi, yes you can use regular dry white wine as a substitute for cooking wine, or simply omit it altogether. And you're right - the potatoes don't need to be cooked beforehand as they will cook in the pan. Be sure they're chopped finely though to avoid a longer cooking time. Happy cooking 🤩

Delicious hearty meal. It seems like a lot of steps but it's actually easy to prepare. Next time I'll add some ginger as well.
