Okay, these are absolutely delicious! I did think the base layer was too sweet and overpowered the date caramel (amazing caramel by the way!) PUL- could I leave the maple syrup out completely? Is the coconut oil enough of a binder or does it need the moisture from the maple syrup? As many have noted, these were tricky to cut into bars because the base would kind of crumble, so I ended up breaking them into irregular pieces like bark, but no complaints here!
Ohhh lord. This is better than the unhealthy kind. Love it. Thank you 🙏
💚
Hi, these look delicious but I can't eat oats. Is there something you would suggest to replace it?
These are sooo yummy!!
I substituted the coconut flakes with a mixture of chia seeds and flaxseeds and it turned out great!
I did have the same problem with the cutting, even following the tip you gave.
I tried cutting from the side of the base as someone here suggested and it worked much much better.
Unbelievably delicious! Tastes just the same, even better!
Made with wow nit butter and omitted peanuts to make school safe and was a tasty treat my.kids could take to school
I love making them, they've become a daily afternoon pick-me-up obsession. Only I can't for the life of me figure out how to cut them neatly without the chocolate breaking all over the place 😭 I've tried thick chocolate layer, thin chocolate layer, "scoring" with a hot knife before cutting, cutting them chocolate side down.... It still ends up super messy... Please help? 🙈😅
Do you measure the dates before or after pitting?
I had fun making this. Taste is perfect. I will try soaking dates next time.
I'm very pleased with this recipe. My dates were a little bit out of date 😁 so I had to use a little bit more milk and a little bit more peanut butter. I've used rice milk, since it was the only one I had (and I usually don't use that one at all 😅), but it was great.
I've also decided to put salty peanuts on the top layer, in the chocolate. The total evaluation: awesome 🥰
This recipe was a delight to make, so surprised by the date caramel!
I’ve made this recipe twice now and I found that the dates didn’t blend very well the first time around for me. On the second go, I soaked the dates in boiling water for half an hour before i put the in the blender. The caramel was super smooth as a result !
The bars were delicious!! I used oat milk, instead of soy milk, and a little more than the recipe said, since my dates were very dry.
These look sooo scrumptious!! One question, though: due to a medical condition my partner is not allowed to have saturated fats like coconut oil/vegan butter... Is there any alternative I could use? Thanks a bunch in advance! ❤️
I love caramel and snickers and I honestly did not think medjool caramel could work. But I stand corrected. This snickers bar is so good, so filling. Thank you for this!
Tastes good but made quite a mess upon cutting. Might I suggest flipping them upside down to cut from the crust to the chocolate instead of vice versa. Made for a way cleaner cut.
Absolutely amazing and its so easy to make! Love, love, love this ♥️♥️
Love it!
Well balanced, recipe lends itself to alterations. Very yummy :)
I love it!
Delicious. I used 2T of maple syrup but would probably reduce to 1T in the future, as I found the base quite sweet. The date caramel with peanuts is fantastic.
We just tried them today, everyone at home loved them and already want more! Great recipe 🤩
These were so indulgent and yummy! We added a little bit more soy milk and peanut butter to our caramel because it seemed a bit thicker than the picture and it was perfect. Planning to gift to my non plant-based eater friends! 🥰
Incredibly tasty! I can’t stop eating this. It is now in the freezer as a postpartum snack. 🤩
Thesa are absolutely delicious, quick and easy to make!!! Definatelly one od my favourite recipies :D
These are sooooo delicious! My *caramel* was way thicker than the video caramel but it worked out perfectly! And another win with my 19yo non-vegan!!! ♥️♥️♥️
So tasty!
Loooooooved them🥰
Yey, snickers is back on the menu and it tastes even better! 😋
Wow these are great. The chocolate breaks into big pieces when I cut it, so it's a bit messy to eat, but honestly I don't mind. It's too tasty to care. :) thanks, Sadia and PUL team!
Amazing recipe, they taste perfect! I did have to chill it longer than 30 mins because the middle was still waay too soft but other than that easy to follow recipe and they pictures were extremely helpful!
How should they be stored and for how long?
Its so delitious. When i bit into it i was like -is this realy vegan?-. Its a great recipe for when you crave something sweet. And i am defenetly making it again. Keep on the good work.(:
My daughter & her friend made this & it is so good we all decided it’s *better* than a snickers! She thought there wouldn’t be enough chocolate so she melted more and then it was too thick (but still delightful). She thinks next time we should make it in flexible cupcake molds which sounds like a great idea!
Ugh, I really do think this is my absolute favorite. I don't know if I've eaten something so delicious before! That caramel made with soft dates is truly heavenly and the combination of everything is to be savoured; I can guarantee you that no one can stay away from it!
This is sooo yummy and it’s all good for you
These are SO GOOD!
So delicious!!
🤍🤍🤍
They were so so delicious 😍😍😍 our guests loved them too! 😋
I only put 1 and a half tbsp of maple sirup cause I was afraid it would be too sweet with the dates and it was perfect for us 🥰
Btw, I love your app and all the youtube content 🥰😋
Thank you 😘
This looks too delicious, I’m excited to try! I also have a question - I love the taste of maple syrup, but I recently started using chicory syrup as a “healthier option”, or at least that’s what I think :)) I didn’t even find chicory syrup in your app as an ingredient/grocery item. Is there any reason you are using maple syrup (instead of chicory for example) or is it just because it’s easier to find in the stores and it has a particular taste that works better in the recipe? Thanks for what you are doing, it’s amazing!!
Hi! This recipe looks delicious, but… would it be possible to use canola oil instead of the coconut?
Coconut oil is one of the worse options for health.
I made these today and they turned out insanely good. Everyone thought it was even better than real Snickers
So delicious! My non-vegan family thought they were better than the real snickers.
I used almond meal instead of coconut which worked well. The only thing was I found them hard to cut as the caramel oozed out from under the chocolate. Any tips to prevent this? Otherwise delish :))
It is insane how yummy they are!
Delicious!
Better than you even think. Run, don’t walk!
Hi there!
First of all, congrats for the app! It's stunning 🤩 As for the recipe, I have a question: can I replace the shredded coconut with another nut flour like almond or hazelnut? I don't like the taste of coconut unfortunately...
I wish I could give these 10 stars! SO GOOD.
I was out of oat milk, so I used water. Other than that, I made them as intended. Perfect! This will become a new regular treat for me.
I remade this today, with the updated recipe. It’s perfect! I love the texture combinations and the salty-sweet flavors. A definite repeat recipe. I think this would be a hit at parties. Thanks to the team for adjusting the recipe after my previous comment. You guys are amazing. I love your recipes, keep up the good work!
I made these and they were so tasty! I did have to make a couple tweaks from the recipe though: I found the base layer batter was really wet so I actually baked it in the oven at 350 for about 12 minutes to help it set and this seemed to work well. I also found my caramel layer was too thick to spread so I added a couple teaspoons of melted coconut oil which helped. Otherwise it was a great recipe and tasted delicious!
Can you use a different oil in this recipe? My husband’s cardiologist told us not to use coconut oil when cooking.
He says it’s not heart healthy.
