I love this recipe for granola and have been remaking it often for about the last year or so 😊 One thing I have noticed and wondered about is: Why add the Matcha and Hemp seeds before baking? Both are heat sensitive and loose some nutrients through baking if I understand correctly. For the Matcha I understand that it wouldn't be infused in the crunch if it was added later but for the hemp seeds that are crunchy on their own I wonder if there is another reason? I have begun adding them after baking and found that it works well :) Either way the resulting granola is always delicious so thank you for the recipe!

Hiii Joy, thanks so much for sharing this insight, and we’re so happy to hear this granola has become a repeat recipe for you 🤗
We add the matcha before baking mainly so its flavour coats the oats more evenly and gives the granola a green tea taste throughout. For the hemp seeds, can't say there's a strong reason why we added them before to be honest. It was likely done out of convenience, though adding them afterward is a lovely idea too, especially if you'd like to preserve more of their nutrients! Great thinking! 💛

Been meaning to make this for a while and finally did. It is SO yummy. Even with some slight over cooking…oops 😅

I‘m surprised to see several comments suggesting more sweetness. I actually find that there’s quite a bit of sweetness because of the condensed milk. To me, the flavours seem well balanced. I also added some almonds for a more interesting texture.

I'm obsessed with all of your granola recipes and this one is just as incredible! I added chopped almonds pre-bake for some extra crunchy nuttiness. It was divine!

So incredibly delicious! I added hot water to the bowl to not waste any of the leftover matcha powder. So delicious with strawberries and a spoonful of PUL nutella.

A very yummy granola! Could use a touch of maple syrup for sweetness or sliced almonds for some extra crunch.

Already tested it and it is amazing. I added some almonds for extra crunch and didn't have strawberries so swapped with cranberries, coconut oil swapped with tahini. Result was delicious. Thanks for this recipe!
