If you love olives, you will definitely love this sandwich. The olive spread is creamy, rich, and very flavourful. We combined it with roasted, spiced chickpeas to add a lovely crunch. The perfect sandwich!

We loved the taste and how easy it was to make. But, I do have to say it is really hard to eat, as the chickpeas don't stay on top and fall down constantly. I am probably still going to make it again because the flavour combo is so delicious.

So glad to hear you enjoyed the flavours, Tina, and thanks for the honest feedback! The chickpeas can be a little rebellious 😅 In case it helps, we sometimes enjoy this recipe with wraps instead of bread. They help hold everything together more easily!

That is such a good idea, definetly going to try it with wraps next time! :)
Very yummy, quick and easy to make, it's a bit naughty to blend tapenade with cream cheese but so yum 😋

What is your cream cheese made of ? I usually use goat 🐐 one, but am eager to try good vegan! I loved your other breakfast recipe featuring baked chickpeas and spread :)

Hey there, Luiza, usually, we use the Violife brand, called "creamy original", which is coconut-based. Philadelphia also has one now, which is almond, oat, and coconut-based. We haven't found any difference between them for most recipes 🤗

I don't have a vegan cream cheese here, can I use tofu instead?
PUL Team - Dec. 15, 2024, 6:26 p.m.
Hey Justyna, you could try to blend silken tofu in place of the vegan cream cheese! Just be sure to give the spread a taste, and perhaps add some lemon juice or nutritional yeast for a creamy, tangy kick if needed 🙂

Awesome recipe! We'll definitely use the spread for future BBQs ❤️. Oh and next time we'll try to use wraps instead of bread slices to avoid the messy eating part 😅

Flavor really nice and super easy and quick to make, spread taste is cool, but yes, very difficult to eat..

It’s tricky to get the chickpeas to stay on top of everything else on that bread.

Delicious! All the textures and flavours just go so well together! My only complaint is that it's a bit messy to eat ahah, lots of chickpeas went flying as I took a bite but otherwise this was a pleasure to eat

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the recipe, Emma! 🙌

At first I found the chickpeas an odd choice but I got obsessed as soon as I tried it! Plus it's pretty easy to make so that was perfec!

The spread is delicious. I added carrots and edamame to the chickpeas, very good. Easy and delicious.

I have only made the olive spread out of this recipe so far because I had some olives that I needed to use up - it was so delicious! My new favorite thing on bread! I added cherry tomatoes and red bell pepper on top, it worked perfectly.

Yayy so glad that the spread was a success, Marie, thank you 🤗

Hmm, looks yummy! I have a question though: what is the dried herb in the photos on the roasted chickpeas? Apparently, that's neither tumeric nor paprika and the ingredients only mention these too spices.

Hey Dorottya, great catch! The dried herb on the roasted chickpeas looks is Italian seasoning. We’ve added this to the ingredient list, thanks so much for bringing that to our attention 🫶
