These are amazing! I tried baking them - they turned out nice. I fried the other half (froze them raw, thawed in the oven, then fried) - WOW!

Instead of frying them, we turned them into small waffles (so no oil added) and they were so cute! Very nice recipe, thank you, PUL!

What a fun idea! Thank YOU, Roxana ☺️

Can you just use sweet potatoes for this? I'm on the Louwen diet for the next few weeks and can't have normal potatoes.

Heyy Phillipa, you can try using only sweet potatoes for this. They’ll be a bit softer and sweeter than regular potatoes, so the fritters might be slightly more tender, but they should still work well 🫶✨

Thank you. I'll let you know how they turn out.

So good! Easy to make. I only had about 2 tbsp of gochujang so sprinkled in some Korean red pepper flakes in the panko to make up for it. Next time will try baking them. Thanks for another amazing recipe!

Mmm thanks for the swap idea, T! So glad to hear that the fritters were enjoyed. Happy cooking 🙌

Made these exactly as written for a dinner party and they were absolutely amazing! Highly recommend. Great leftover and paired with a salad for a quick lunch. We're already planning to make these again in a larger batch to freeze.

Thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing how you served them, Madison! It’s such a great idea to freeze a bigger batch for later too 🤗

Can I bake it in the oven instead?
PUL Team - Jan. 18, 2025, 5:43 p.m.
Hey Alenoosh, you can bake the fritters instead of frying them if you'd like. For example, you could preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), place the patties on a lined baking sheet, spray with cooking oil, and bake for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through until crispy 🤗

Is there a substitute for Gochujang?
PUL Team - Dec. 23, 2024, 2:26 p.m.
Hey friend, you can substitute gochujang with another chili paste, like sriracha or sambal oelek! The taste of the fritter will be a little less complex without gochujang, so you could add a touch of soy sauce and a pinch of sugar to taste if needed 🙂

These look amazing! Would they work shallow fried or even in an air fryer?
PUL Team - Nov. 30, 2024, 5:46 p.m.
Hiya Pavi, we imagine these could work shallow fried, and the air fryer is a great idea too! Just give them a light spritz of oil to help them crisp up. Let us know how they turn out if you give the recipe a try ✨
