Baked tortilla strips are a simple little upgrade that can elevate any dish. They’re crunchy, golden, and perfect for adding a bit of texture to soups, salads, or even just snacking on their own. They can made in no time, with just a few ingredients. Plus, baking them means they’re lighter than the fried version but just as satisfying. Who doesn’t love a good crunch?

An easy way to use up old tortillas. I used the flour kind and added some Mexican spices for extra flavor. I only have a fan oven so baking time was a bit shorter, which was quite nice.

Wow, such a great idea on how to use that last packet of corn tortillas that had been sitting in my pantry for a while now! I cut down baking time to only 10 minutes, which was more than enough for the strips to toast.

Hii Martunia, thank you so much for trying the recipe! So glad it helped you make use of the extra corn tortillas ☺️
And great tip on the shorter baking time. In case it helps, if your oven has a fan (often called a convection setting), it can make things cook faster than expected. We used the top and bottom heating option for our batch, rather than the fan setting. If you used convection, you could try reducing the baking time or lowering the temperature a bit, or switch to the top and bottom heating option next time. Happy cooking ✨
