Is there any way this can be done with ground spices?
PUL Team - Dec. 15, 2024, 3:59 p.m.
Hi Dany! You can definitely give it a try! My only concern is that ground spices might make the syrup slightly grainy compared to whole spices. If you’d like to use ground spices, we’d suggest starting with a pinch of ground cloves, ¼ tsp ground allspice, ¼ tsp ground cinnamon, and a small pinch of ground black pepper for 20 servings. Be sure to strain the syrup thoroughly - multiple times if needed - to remove any sediment before storing it. Let us know how it turns out! 😊

Can I leave out the allspice berries?

Hey Christy, you can leave out the all-spice berries, or substitute them with another cinnamon stick and whole clove 😊
