Cheeze-It Crackers

Our vegan Cheeze-It crackers are inspired by the classic childhood snack. Traditionally made from cheese and wheat flour, Cheez-Its are known for their distinctively cheesy flavour and crispy texture. We’ve created a plant-based version that delivers the same delicious, bite-sized crunch. Perfect for snacking on their own, pairing with dips, or adding to a lunchbox for a tasty, dairy-free treat.

My lentil mix Turnen out to be war to wet. Don’t know what I did wrong. So I had to add more flour. That is why I think there is a lack of taste. Nevertheless, it smells delicious, it is tasty and my little son likes them. Definitely will try them again!

Aw, we’re happy to hear your son enjoyed them, Karo ā˜ŗļø It sounds like the dough may have had a bit too much moisture, which could have happened if the lentil mixture wasn't fully cooled or if there was a little extra liquid left after cooking the lentils. Adding more flour was a great call to help bring the dough together!

Next time, you could try cooking the lentils until the liquid is mostly absorbed, and letting the mixture cool and thicken a bit before adding it to the dry ingredients. Adding an extra pinch of salt, garlic powder, or bouillon may help bring the flavour back up, too, if you end up adding flour again✨ We hope your next batch turns out even better!

Thank you :)

I just tried this recipe and it’s delicious. Knowing that I did it myself (which is super easy and quick to do), and knowing what’s in it (which is good for my body), it’s a must-try. However, it wasn’t crunchy enough, it was rather dry/soft, so I baked it +8/10min at 210°C.

These are so good! They really do evoke classic cheez-it flavor while just being better than the original all around. Easy and fun, so nice to have a dry savory snack on hand. I wonder if the dough would roll out well if it’s been frozen?

Heyy Evren, yayy so glad you loved them! We haven't tested the dough frozen, but I think the dough should roll out fine after freezing - maybe just thaw in the fridge a bit first so it’s easier to work with. Let us know how it goes if you try it out šŸ¤—

Pour moi le rapport travail/rƩsultat n'est pas Ơ la hauteur. Pas de crackers maison pour moi
