Spinach Bread Dumplings in Yellow Pepper Sauce
These spinach bread dumplings take inspiration from traditional German dumpling-making. Crafted with bread and vegetables, they are lightly fried and then steamed to perfection. We've paired them with a vibrant yellow pepper sauce, infused with fresh herbs and a touch of nutritional yeast for a delicious, cheesy flavour twist.Servings

This was delicious! Perfect for a cozy winter night. I used day old bretzel for the dumplings and regular flour and they came out great, I'll just add a bit more seasoning to them next time. I'm already looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!
I really like the combination of the salty dumplings and the sweet yellow pepper sauce. Its a perfect match.
Interesting, but I think roasting the bell peppers would add a little more punch of flavor in the sauce. I'll give it a try next time I make the recipe.
It was delicious!
This was delicious, I added some smoked tempeh bites on top for some extra protein and it turned out amazing. So cozy too!
Hi PUL, Can you tell me how many kg is "a slice of bread" please ?
I usually love the flavours of all the PUL recipes but I thought this really lacked in flavour. However, it’s a bit of a different recipe which I loved :-)
The dumplings definitely are what make this soup delicious. The actual soup tasted strongly of bell pepper which makes sense but was too much for me. I also added blended up beans to the soup to make it more filling
Could I add pumpkin along with yellow bell peppers?
Can I not use fresh spinach for this recipe?
