I made these today and used a ready made date paste instead of dates, don’t love how it came out though - it feels like something is missing for me. Next time I might experiment with coating it with some chocolate.

Hi Seema, thanks for giving these a try! Ready-made date paste can change the result because it’s often smoother, less sticky, or has a different sweetness than whole dates, which can affect the texture, taste, and how the balls hold together. Coating them in chocolate sounds like a tasty idea to try next time though 😊

I made these today and they are delectable! Sweet but not too sweet. Gorgeous coconut flavor. I freeze them and use them as school lunchbox treats for my kids.

For how long can these be stored?
PUL Team - July 16, 2025, 4:18 p.m.
Hii Saumi, thanks for your interest in the recipe! They can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or frozen for up to 2 months. In case you haven't seen yet and it helps in the future, the storage instructions on the app are in the directions tab and the last slide of the "Make" step-by-step instructions ☺️✨

Sympa, vegan , sans gluten, sans cuisson, rapide et joli résultat, mais il manque un truc. Je ne saurais dire quoi. Plus de crème de dattes ? Je ne sais pas. Une onctuosité en plus ?

Hello, do you use Almond flour, or ground Almonds? In Germany almond flour has low fat and needs much more liquid, than ground almonds. Same with ground coconut (Powder) and Coconut flour.

Hey Michaela! We're based in the Netherlands, where almond flour is similar to what you get in Germany - lower in fat and a bit drier. Ground almonds or ground coconut could work too, but they might make the texture a bit more crumbly 🫶

Hi everyone! I tried to make the recipe with ground almond so you don't have to... And it was a disaster! It was too crumbly to form balls, I tried to add more milk, then more dates, nothing worked. I ended up adding peanut butter, and the dough was finally sticky enough to make balls! I recommend using true almond flour for this one 🥲
