This smoothie brings a bright, refreshing start to the day. With orange juice, frozen strawberries, and banana, it’s naturally sweet and tangy, while vanilla soy yogurt adds extra creaminess. A scoop of cooked quinoa blends in effortlessly, adding a gentle thickness and a bit more substance. It’s light yet satisfying - great for breakfast or as a mid-day boost.

Didn’t have the quinoa on hand. So made the smoothie without it. The smoothie felt a bit acidic. Used store bought orange juice. Any suggestions to neutralize the acidity of the orange juice?

Hi hi, Fiona! Store-bought orange juice may be sharper than fresh, so adding a bit more banana, yogurt, or even a splash of plant milk will help mellow the acidity. A small pinch of cinnamon or vanilla could also round out the flavours nicely ☺️

I love it! I use a unsweetened vegan greek yoghurt? (Kwark for the dutchies) without vanilla, but I love it!! Use a bit more strawberries and rolled oats. My new obsession!!

If I swap for oats do they need to be cooked ?

Hiii Alina, no need to cook the oats! Just use half the amount raw. About 2 tablespoons should do the trick for 2 servings ☺️
