I don't think savory oatmeal is for me 😅. Never tried it before! However, the flavors were great and it was easy to prepare. Might try this again in the future and add something crunchy to help balance the mushiness.

Made it with buckwheat flakes (buckwheat oats).
Its delicious, but the lentils are too aldente.
And 1 Boullion cube wasn't enough (1 is for 500ml), so i add more next time.
I'm usually a sweet porridge breakfast person but thought I'd give this ago and was very pleasantly surprised!
This recipe is a winner on every level! I love lentils, but I never thought to put them in oatmeal... GENIUS! I absolutely love this recipe, and it will be on my permanent breakfast rotation.
On a side note, I adore the scaling feature! I am the only one in my house who likes lentils, so it's nice to be able to scale the ingredients down for one serving.

The Curry Oatmeal dish was a hearty brunch choice. This main was simple to prepare. I personally found the recipe for 1 serving makes enough to share. Note: Cilantro appears as an optional garnish, but not referenced in ingredient list.

So far, one of the better savoury porridges that I have tried. Amazing flavours and so fun to use so many spices! Great onion topping, and I also topped the porridge with cucumber raita that fitted very well. One portion was a bit on the heavily filling side though
so lovely!! i used soy milk and added flax seeds, and also put some black mustard seeds in the onion topping :)
I made this for breakfast today. I love a savoury breakfast and loved this recipe. It was easy and flavourful 🤤
